There are many clubhouses within Rossmoor that provide activities for residents. The Gateway Complex has a 150-seat theatre that shows films and hosts lectures, as well as a library, the recreation department, a social center as well as a large card/games room. In addition, there are arts, ceramics, sewing, jewelry, lapidary and woodshop studios for residents who enjoy the arts, and the fireside room is another popular venue for performances. The Hillside Complex holds most of the recreational venues as well as grounds for picnics and a picnic pavilion. The Dollar Clubhouse is known for its charming patio, beautiful interiors and cozy atmosphere. It is an ideal place to relax with friends and family or to enjoy a good book. And finally, Del Valle Clubhouse is the largest clubhouse that holds the remaining recreational facilities as well as a large banquet room, a large auditorium and the kitchens. Throughout the different clubhouses, the following recreational activities are offered: music, theatre, movies, book club, classes, excursions, holiday events and volunteer opportunities.
Parks and Recreation
There is no shortage of recreational activities for the residents of Rossmoor. There are two golf courses, four community swimming pools, a fitness center, three championship lawn bowling greens, three bocce ball courts, eight lovely tennis courts, a table tennis club, the unusual game of pickle ball which is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, a variety of educational programs, famous speakers, along with over 200 clubs and organizations. And with relatively great weather year round, residents are able to stay in tip-top shape no matter what season it is!
